Dr. Motoki was raised in Salt Lake City, obtaining his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Utah. He finished general surgery and plastic surgery residency programs with the College of Medicine at the University of Utah then completed his training with a fellowship at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Motoki has been in private practice in Salt Lake City since 1989. He is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by The American Board of Medical Specialties relating to plastic or cosmetic surgery, and is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has served as Chairman of Plastic Surgery at LDS Hospital and St. Mark’s Hospital. In addition he served a term as President of the Utah State Plastic Surgery Society.
